Jamee’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s needs. She incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and strength-focused work to help clients foster self-awareness, develop new coping skills, and cultivate compassion for themselves.
She strives to create a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their goals, heal from past wounds, and move forward with confidence and clarity.
Melodee Morris, M.Ed.
Mental Health Counselor (Pre-licensed)
Melodee Morris is a pre-licensed Mental Health Counselor at Prism Behavioral Health and has been practicing as a therapist since 2021. She works with high school-aged teens and adults, offering compassionate support for stress, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Melodee brings both strong clinical training and real-life insight to her work, providing trauma-informed, strengths-based care grounded in a warm and steady therapeutic presence.
Melodee’s approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS). She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gottman Method approaches, as she finds these modalities thoughtfully complement the IFS model. This integrative framework allows her to help clients explore internal parts, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and shift patterns that no longer serve them.
Her therapeutic style is collaborative and attuned, designed to foster safety, deepen self-understanding, and support meaningful, sustainable growth.
Melodee has completed all educational and clinical requirements for the Mental Health Counselor licensure in the State of Hawaiʻi and is preparing to take her licensing examination soon.
